La Fin du Monde

La Fin Du MondeLa Fin du Monde is a Belgian style triple fermentation (also refermented in the bottle) golden ale introduced in July 1994 and produced by Unibroue of Quebec. La Fin du Monde was named after the European explorers’ belief they had reached the end of the world when they discovered a new world, later known as America, and more specifically when someone in the marketing team (who was getting desperate with finding a satisfactory name for the beer) exclaimed to his discouraged colleagues: it’s not the end of the world!

Telegraph Stock Porter

Telegraph Stock PorterStaying true to original porter brewing techniques, we blend fresh brewed beer with oak-barrel aged ale to create our Stock Porter. The aged beer is a higher-alcohol, dark mahogany-colored ale that is matured in American-oak casks for two months. We then blend it with lighter, freshly brewed ale resulting in a divine combination that reveals spicy, vanilla, and chocolate aromas married to a fruity, refreshing acidity. The name “Stock Porter” was the moniker 19th century pub keepers gave to the more expensive Porter that had been aged in their beer cellars, as opposed to “Mild Porter”, which was a less complex, less expensive, and less characterful brew.

GrandCentral Finally Gets Updated!

Google Voice

Google Voice

Google purchased GrandCentral in 2007. Not much has changed since. Today I found a login page for the new Google Voice service (https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=grandcentral). Though I have a Gmail account as well as a GrandCentral account, neither of my logins worked. There are a few screenshots of the new Google Voice service, which appears to be an overhaul of GrandCentral, on the TechCrunch website.
